Gaffer for Corporate Video, Montreal

Hey everyone. I'm a Steadicam operator in Montreal working on an upcoming corporate video project and we're looking for a motivated Gaffer to join our small, but passionate team. This isn't your typical corporate gig; we're aiming for a polished, cinematic look to elevate the brand's message, focusing on sleek product shots and dynamic talking heads. It’s a great chance to contribute creatively and get some strong reel material. As our Gaffer, you'll be responsible for executing the lighting plan, working closely with our DP to achieve their vision. This includes setting up and striking lights, managing power distribution, and ensuring everyone's safety on set. We're looking for someone with mid-level experience on corporate or commercial shoots, someone who can work efficiently and problem-solve on the fly. Bringing some of your own basic grip and electric kit would be a huge plus, but we'll have a package coming from a rental house for the main units. Please share your reel or examples of your work. Shoot dates are roughly April 22-24, though that's still being finalized, likely 10-hour days. We're an independent production, so this is a volunteer position, but we'll definitely cover your meals and make sure you get a copy of the final video for your reel.
