Gaffer (Senior), Feature Film-ABQ

Our independent production is seeking an experienced Gaffer for an upcoming feature film shooting in Albuquerque. It's a gritty, character-driven crime drama with a stylized, cinematic look. We're aiming for a moody, impactful visual tone that relies heavily on evocative lighting. You'll be responsible for leading our lighting team, executing the DP's vision, and safely managing all electrical equipment on set. We're looking for someone with a strong reel demonstrating senior-level experience on at least two feature film productions. You should be familiar with various lighting setups, DMX control, and power distribution for larger shoots. While we'll provide a full lighting package and generator, your expertise in optimizing our resources will be key. Shoot dates are tentatively scheduled for mid-August through early September (approx. 4 weeks, M-F, 10-12 hour days). Compensation is a flat rate of $250/day.
