Lighting for Music Video

Hey everyone, Callum here, I'm rigging on an upcoming music video shoot in Manchester and we're looking for a dedicated Lighting Assistant to join our team. It's for a high-energy indie rock band, lots of dynamic movement and a raw, atmospheric vibe. Think gritty warehouse aesthetic with bursts of color. We need someone who's keen to learn, can follow direction, and isn't afraid to get hands-on with light setups. Your main role will involve helping the Gaffer position and operate lights, run cables safely, and generally ensure the lighting department runs smoothly. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at an entry level to gain some valuable on-set experience. While we're providing key lighting gear, any personal kit you can bring, even just a basic set of gloves or a multi-tool, would be a plus. Please have a look at some of your previous work, even if it's just student projects or passion pieces, we want to see your enthusiasm for lighting. Shoot dates are TBC but looking at two full days late May or early June, probably 10-12 hour days. We're an independent production, so compensation is on a points and deferred basis, with potential for future paid work on similar projects. Excited to hear from you.
