Gaffer for Miami-Based Web Series (Deferred Comp)

Hey filmmakers, I'm Marco, an underwater DP, and I'm looking for a Gaffer for an exciting independent web series shooting here in Miami. This is a dramatic thriller with comedic undertones, really leaning into a neo-noir aesthetic with some cool, stylized lighting opportunities. We're aiming for a premium look on an indie budget. Your main responsibilities will include collaborating with our DP to design and execute lighting setups, managing our small but mighty lighting crew, and ensuring efficient power distribution on set. We're looking for someone resourceful and creative who can make the most of what we have. Experience gaffing narrative content, even short films or music videos, is a must. Please have your own basic kit (stands, stingers, C-stands, flags etc.) and a solid reel showcasing your work. Shoot dates are approximately 10-12 days over a 3-week period in late September, early October. Expect 10-12 hour days. We'll provide specialized lighting fixtures, grip trucks, and all necessary gels/diffusion. This is a passion project with backend percentage compensation, but we're committed to submitting to festivals and securing distribution. Looking forward to seeing your work!
