Gaffer (Senior) - Music Video (NY)

Hey everyone, I'm Carla, a Makeup Department Head. We're looking for a skilled Gaffer for an upcoming independent music video project here in NYC. This is a really cool, high-energy pop track with some surreal, almost psychedelic visual elements planned, so we need someone creative who can really help us bring that vibe to life through lighting. As our Gaffer, you'll be responsible for executing the Cinematographer's vision and managing the lighting department. This includes collaborating on lighting plots, overseeing equipment setup and breakdown, and ensuring safety on set. We'll need a Gaffer with extensive experience on music video or narrative projects, someone who's super comfortable working quickly and creatively in a fast-paced environment. A strong understanding of various lighting techniques, equipment, and power distribution is essential. Please send us your reel or a portfolio showcasing your work. Shoot dates are tentatively scheduled for mid-July, likely a 2-day shoot, 10-12 hour days. Exact dates are still being finalized. We can provide a basic lighting package, but if you have access to additional specialized gear that would be a plus, let us know. This is a paid position, $300-500 a day, depending on experience.
