Gaffer for Pilot Production

We're looking for a skilled Gaffer to join our team for an upcoming pilot production in Los Angeles. This is a dramatic, visually-driven project with an intimate tone, exploring complex family dynamics, and promises to be a powerful piece. We need someone who can help us craft sophisticated lighting setups that truly enhance the storytelling. As our Gaffer, you'll be responsible for executing the lighting plan set by the DP, managing the lighting team, and ensuring all equipment is operating safely and effectively. We're looking for someone with a strong understanding of various lighting techniques, an eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently within a dynamic set environment. While we don't have strict experience requirements, we're looking for someone who can demonstrate their abilities through past work. Please include a brief resume or list of relevant projects. Access to a basic lighting package would be a plus, but not strictly required, as some gear will be provided. Shoot dates are approximately 5 days in late June, early July, with standard 10-12 hour days. Compensation is paid weekly, between $2000-3000, depending on experience. This is an independent production, so a collaborative spirit and a problem-solving attitude are highly valued.
