Gaffer for Sci-Fi Mystery Web Series

A retired astronaut races against time to unravel a cosmic mystery before his fractured memory fades completely. We're an independent production seeking a senior Gaffer for an upcoming sci-fi mystery web series, shooting primarily in Atlanta, GA. This project has a dark, atmospheric tone, blending psychological drama with grounded sci-fi visuals. You'll be responsible for designing and executing the lighting plans, working closely with our DP to achieve specific moods and looks for each scene. We're looking for someone with extensive experience on narrative sets, a strong understanding of various lighting techniques, and the ability to troubleshoot on the fly. You'll need to provide your own standard gaffing kit, but specialized lighting equipment will be rented by the production. Shoot dates are currently slated for around October 6, 2026, for approximately 3-4 weeks. Hours will be typical 10-12 hour days, 5-6 days a week.
