Gaffer for Sci-Fi Noir Short

Seeking an experienced Gaffer for an independent sci-fi noir short film. This is a visually driven piece, a character study about a detective in a near-future, rain-slicked city, haunted by an artificial intelligence. We're aiming for a moody, high-contrast aesthetic with practicals playing a key role in the storytelling. You'll be responsible for executing the lighting plan devised by the Cinematographer, managing the grip and electric team, ensuring safe operation of all equipment, and troubleshooting on set. We're looking for someone with a strong background in independent film, particularly with a knack for creating atmospheric, dramatic lighting. Please have your own basic G&E kit (distro, stingers, C-stands, basic flags, diffusion) though specialized lighting units will be rented. A strong reel showcasing your work in a similar style is essential. Our shoot is approximately 1 week, roughly 12-hour days, targeting late October early November. Exact dates are TBD based on crew availability. Craft services and hot meals will be provided. Compensation is $2000-3000 per week, commensurate with experience.
