Gaffer for Sci-Fi Web Series

Hey Atlanta crew! Our independent production team is seeking a talented Gaffer for an upcoming sci-fi web series. This project is a gritty, character-driven story with a cyberpunk aesthetic, focusing on near-future tech and moral dilemmas. We're looking for someone who can help us achieve a distinct, atmospheric look that truly sells our world. As Gaffer, you'll be responsible for supervising lighting crews, implementing the lighting plan, and ensuring all electrical equipment is safe and functional. We need someone who can work creatively and efficiently, often with practical lighting integration. You'll work closely with our DP to translate their vision into compelling visual storytelling. Candidates should have at least 3-5 years of experience as a Gaffer on narrative projects. Please be comfortable working with various lighting instruments, generators, and distribution, and ideally, have access to some of your own basic kit (though we'll be providing major lights and power). A strong reel showcasing your work on similar genre projects is a must. Shoot dates are approximately 5 weeks, starting mid-August, Monday-Friday, 10-12 hour days. Compensation is $2000-3000 per week, dependent on experience. We'll provide all meals, craft services, and a great crew environment. Looking forward to seeing your applications!
