Gaffer (Mid-Level) for Detroit Web Series

When a small-town mechanic discovers he can fix anything, including people's problems, his life gets complicated fast in this comedic drama web series. We're looking for a talented and experienced Gaffer to join our independent production team for an upcoming project in Detroit. We need someone who can bring a strong visual aesthetic and help shape the look of our show. Key responsibilities include designing and executing lighting setups, managing all lighting equipment, and working closely with the DP to achieve the desired cinematic vision. You'll be responsible for safety protocols related to lighting and power. Applicants should have at least 3-5 years of gaffing experience on narrative projects, a solid understanding of various lighting techniques, and the ability to troubleshoot on set. While we will be renting some specialized gear, having access to your own basic grip and electric package (stands, stingers, small LED units, diffusion) is a plus. Compensation is $2000-3000 per week, depending on experience. Lunch and craft services will be provided daily.
