Gaffer (Mid-Level) - Web Series

Hey filmmakers, we're looking for a Gaffer for an upcoming independent web series shooting in Los Angeles. This is a gritty, character-driven drama with some dark comedic elements, exploring the underground art scene. We're aiming for a stylized, atmospheric look that really enhances the story. You'll be responsible for lighting design, managing the grip and electric team, and working closely with the DP to achieve the desired visual style. We're seeking someone with 2-3 years of experience as a Gaffer or Best Boy Electric, with a strong understanding of various lighting techniques, safety protocols, and DMX control. You should ideally have your own basic G&E kit, though we will provide specialized equipment. Please send over your resume and a reel that showcases your lighting work. Shoot dates are approximately 10-12 days over 3 weeks in late July, early August, with 10-hour days. Meals, snacks, and some travel stipend will be provided. Compensation is deferred (points + deferred pay schedule to be discussed). We're a passionate, tight-knit crew, and looking for someone who's a good collaborator and ready to dive in.
