Gaffer (Senior) - Pilot Drama, Albuquerque

Hey Albuquerque crew, I'm helping staff a senior Gaffer position for an upcoming independent production. We're shooting a dramatic pilot, a character-driven story with some really interesting visual opportunities. Think a bit dark, a bit gritty, focusing on nuanced performances. We've got some challenging interior and exterior scenes planned, so we're looking for someone with strong problem-solving skills and an artistic eye for lighting. Key responsibilities include collaborating closely with the DP to achieve the desired leading a small lighting team, and managing all grip and electric equipment on set. You'll be responsible for lighting plots, power distribution, and ensuring safety on set. We're looking for someone who owns their own basic G&E package, although we'll be renting additional specialized gear as needed. Please have a solid reel demonstrating your experience with dramatic narratives and complex lighting setups. Shoot dates are approximately late June, early July, for five prep and shoot days, with potential for some longer days. Meals and craft services will be provided on set. This is a great opportunity to work on a promising new project with a talented team. Day rate is $150-300, negotiable based on experience and equipment provided.
