Junior VFX Artist, Feature Film (Paid)

Hey everyone, Derek Huang here. I'm putting out a call for a talented Junior VFX Artist for an exciting upcoming independent feature film. It's a dark fantasy thriller with some really unique supernatural elements, and we're looking to create visually striking, immersive effects that enhance the story without feeling overly stylized. Think gritty and realistic, not flashy. We need someone who can help with a variety of tasks, including rotoscoping, clean-up, compositing, and potentially some basic element creation. You'll be working closely with our VFX Supervisor to bring some challenging shots to life. We're seeking someone with entry-level experience, but a strong reel showcasing your artistic eye and technical skills is essential. Familiarity with Nuke, After Effects, or similar industry-standard software is required. You won't need to provide any gear beyond your personal workstation if you prefer, but we'll have a facility available. This is a paid position, $2000-3000 per week, depending on experience. The project is based in Los Angeles, CA. Expected start is late summer, with an 8-10 week commitment. Specific dates are still being finalized, but anticipate a standard 5-day work week.
