VFX for Documentary

Hey film fam, I'm helping crew-up an exciting independent documentary and we're looking for an entry-level VFX Artist to bring some magic to our project. This doc is a character-driven environmental story, exploring a really urgent topic with a poignant, often visually striking tone. We're looking for someone who can help us with anything from simple clean-up, rotoscoping, green screen keying, to some basic compositing work, enhancing archival footage, or adding subtle effects to establish mood and place. You would be working closely with the director to realize their vision. We need someone who has a solid understanding of VFX software, ideally After Effects or Nuke, and a keen eye for detail. Experience on a documentary specifically is a plus, but not essential, as long as you're adaptable and a quick learner. You absolutely need to have a reel or portfolio showcasing your best work even if it’s just student projects. We estimate a 3-4 week commitment, some of that might be remote, some could be in our LA office, with flexible hours. We're looking at a daily rate of $300-500, depending on experience. Come join
