Location Scout, Web Series

Hey, Ben Castillo, stunt coordinator here. Crewing up for an independent web series, it's a gritty, dark comedy, think something along the lines of 'Barry' meets 'Fargo' but set in the LA indie film scene. We've got some wild stunts planned and we need some killer locations to pull them off. We're looking for a motivated Location Scout to help us find and secure a variety of spots across Los Angeles. This project is going to be a lot of fun, really push some creative boundaries. You'll be responsible for researching, scouting, and photographing potential locations, coordinating with owners, and assisting with permits. You'll also work closely with me and the director to ensure locations are stunt-friendly and visually impactful. No specific experience level required, if you're eager to learn and have a good eye, let's talk. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are a must, obviously. Familiarity with LA neighborhoods and a knack for problem-solving are definitely a plus. Shoot dates are TBD but looking at late summer/early fall, likely a 10-15 day schedule. This is a deferred pay gig, typical for this kind of indie project, with a strong commitment to getting fair compensation once we secure distribution. We'll provide mileage reimbursement and a small per diem during scouting days. This is a great opportunity to get some solid experience and network on a really exciting project.
