Entry-Level Locations Assistant, Doc

Documentary Locations Atlanta, GA entry Budget: $150-300/day

Looking for a proactive, entry-level Locations Assistant for an upcoming documentary project filming in and around Atlanta, GA. This film explores interesting subcultures, so we'll be seeking unique, untapped locations. It's a high-energy project with a focus on immersive storytelling. Your primary role will be assisting the Locations Manager with scouting, securing permits, and managing logistics on set. This includes site prep, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring crew compliance with location rules. You'll be a key part of making sure our shoot days run smoothly and legally. No specific gear is required, but a reliable car and valid driver's license are essential. Prior experience on a set, even student films, is a plus. We're looking for someone organized, resourceful, and with a good attitude, ready to learn the ropes of location management. While a reel isn't necessary for this particular role, any relevant examples of organizational skills or problem-solving would be great to see. Shoot dates are approximate, ranging from late July to mid-August, for about 10-15 days. Typical shoot days will be 10-12 hours. We'll provide meals on set and cover any necessary location-related expenses. Pay is $150-300 per day, depending on experience.
