Locations Scout/Manager for Web Series (Vancouver)

Web Series Locations Vancouver, BC any Budget: $100-200/day

Hey everyone, I'm a camera operator working on an independent web series, and we're looking for a Locations Scout/Manager to join our team in Vancouver. This is a dark comedy web series, think something with a bit of a quirky, Mumblecore vibe to it. It's an interesting script, full of relatable character moments and some genuinely funny situations. We're keeping things lean and creative, so it's a great chance to contribute meaningfully to an exciting project. Your main responsibilities will involve scouting potential filming locations around Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, coordinating access and permits, and acting as the main point of contact for location owners during production. We'll need someone to handle the logistics on the day, ensuring everything runs smoothly. No specific gear is required, but a good understanding of what makes a practical shooting location, strong communication skills, and a solid organizational approach are essential. Your vehicle is definitely a plus for getting around. Experience is open, so if you're keen to jump in and learn, or you've got some experience under your belt, we'd love to hear from you. We're offering a rate of $100-200/day, depending on experience. Shoot dates are still being finalized but will likely be over 5-7 days in late spring/early summer. Hours will be typical film set days, around 10-12 hours. We'll provide craft services and meals on set. If you're a proactive problem-solver with a good eye for interesting spaces, please get in touch!
