PA for Documentary Series, Los Angeles

Looking for a Production Assistant for an independent documentary project filming for approximately 1-2 days during the first half of September 2026. This is an entry-level position with TBD compensation, paid as a daily rate. This project explores the unique stories of unsung community heroes in Los Angeles, presented with an intimate and hopeful tone. We're a small, passionate crew aiming to create impactful short-form content for an upcoming project. Key responsibilities include assisting the crew with on-set tasks, managing equipment, coordinating logistics, running errands, and generally supporting the smooth operation of our shoot days. You'll be an essential part of keeping things organized and moving efficiently. We need someone who is proactive, reliable, and has a positive attitude. Basic knowledge of set etiquette is a plus, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are most important. Must have reliable transportation and be able to work legally in the U.S. While no specific gear is required, familiarity with production equipment is helpful. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in documentary production and make valuable connections. We anticipate a 10-12 hour day for each shoot day. We will provide lunch and snacks on set.
