Production for Pilot

Pilot Production Montreal, QC any Budget: Deferred pay

We are seeking a 1st Assistant Camera for an upcoming pilot presentation, a character-driven sci-fi drama with a grounded, intimate tone. This project explores themes of memory and connection in a world subtly altered by technological advancement, blending dramatic intensity with moments of quiet wonder. We're looking for someone who can help us achieve a visually rich and emotionally resonant aesthetic. Your main task on set will be ensuring sharp focus and precise camera operation from day one, working closely with our DP. Key responsibilities include pulling focus, maintaining camera equipment, preparing camera packages, and supporting the Director of Photography on set. You'll be instrumental in keeping our camera department running smoothly. Applicants should have experience as a 1st AC on narrative projects, a strong understanding of various camera systems (we'll be using a RED or similar), and a solid work ethic. Please submit a resume outlining your relevant experience, and if available, a short reel or portfolio showcasing your focus pulling skills. While gear is provided by the production, familiarity with industry-standard equipment is essential. This is an independent production shooting primarily in Montreal, QC. We anticipate a 1-2 day shoot schedule in September 2026. Hours will be typical for a film set, approximately 10-12 hours per day. Deferred compensation is offered, with meals and local transport to set provided during production.
