Production for Commercial

We need a skilled 1st AC to join our independent production team for an upcoming commercial shoot in Chicago. This project is a visually dynamic, fast-paced commercial for a local tech startup, focusing on bright, clean aesthetics and innovative product shots. It's a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-quality ad and expand your reel. You'll be working directly with the Director of Photography to maintain critical focus and support the camera department. Key responsibilities include pulling focus, maintaining camera equipment, setting up and breaking down camera packages, and ensuring lenses are clean and protected. We're looking for someone organized, with a strong eye for detail, and the ability to anticipate needs on set. While any experience level is welcome to apply, a solid understanding of camera systems and focusing techniques is a must. You should be able to provide your own follow focus system and basic camera toolkit. A reel or portfolio demonstrating your work is highly encouraged. The shoot is currently slated for 1-2 days, likely late October or early November 2026. Prep might involve a half-day or full-day beforehand for gear check. We'll provide meals and on-set refreshments. Day rates are $150-300, depending on experience.
