Production Design for Pilot

Seeking a talented Production Designer for an upcoming independent production, a sci-fi pilot exploring themes of artificial intelligence and human connection. It's got a grounded, gritty aesthetic, think less Star Wars and more near-future indie drama. We need someone who can translate our vision into compelling visual spaces, from set dressing to prop selection. You'll be working closely with the director to develop the overall look of the pilot. Key responsibilities include creating mood boards and design concepts, sourcing and managing props and set pieces, and overseeing the art department on set. We're looking for someone with an entry-level experience, perhaps some student film or short film work under your belt. A portfolio or reel showcasing your design sensibility is a must. You don't need to bring your own gear, we've got a budget for materials. The shoot itself is projected for a 2-day period in late August 2026, with about 3 weeks of prep work leading up to it. This is a volunteer position, but we'll provide meals on set and a copy of the finished pilot for your reel. We're shooting in various locations around New York, NY.
