Production Designer, Horror Short

Hey folks, I'm helping out an independent production find a talented Production Designer for an upcoming horror short film, set in a creepy, isolated cabin. We're aiming for a classic, atmospheric horror vibe with some psychological twists. This is a fantastic opportunity for an entry-level designer to showcase their skills and get a solid credit on a promising project. As our Production Designer, you'll be responsible for translating the director's vision into tangible sets and props. This includes conceptualizing designs, sourcing or fabricating set dressing, and managing the overall aesthetic of the film. We're looking for someone creative who can work resourcefully to achieve maximum impact within a limited budget. Experience with practical effects or building out specific environments is a huge plus. Please provide a link to your portfolio or reel that showcases your design work. While we're not requiring specific gear, any experience you have with prop sourcing or set construction will be beneficial. Shoot dates are tentatively scheduled for late September in the Los Angeles area, likely 3-4 full days. We'll provide craft services and a small stipend, with compensation (TBD) reflecting your contribution. Looking forward to seeing your work!
