Production Designer, Independent Feature Film (Nashville)

Hey Nashville film community, I'm helping crew up an exciting character-driven drama shooting here, and we're looking for a talented Production Designer. This is an intimate, emotionally resonant story with an eye toward a gritty, realistic aesthetic, but we also explore some surreal, dreamlike sequences that will be a fun challenge. We need someone with a keen eye for detail and the ability to translate thematic elements into visual environments. Your main responsibilities will include developing the overall visual style, creating concept art, sourcing props and set dressings, and overseeing the art department. You'll work closely with the Director and DP to bring our vision to life. Experience on narrative features or high-end shorts is a definite plus. Please have a portfolio or reel ready to share that showcases your design sensibilities and execution. This is an independent production, so we’re operating on a volunteer basis, offering credit and meals for your time and creativity. We anticipate shooting for roughly 15-20 days, primarily in October, with prep starting in September. Hours will vary but expect typical film days. We're a passionate, dedicated team, and this is a great opportunity to get a strong feature credit with a committed group of filmmakers.
