Production Designer, Sci-Fi Pilot

Hey folks, I'm a Props Master working on an exciting sci-fi pilot based here in Bristol, and we're on the hunt for a senior Production Designer to lead our visual aesthetic. This project is a darkly comedic, character-driven story set in a near-future, slightly dystopian UK, so we need someone who can blend futuristic elements with a grounded, gritty realism. Think Black Mirror meets Fleabag, if that makes sense. Your main gig will be conceptualizing and realizing the overall look and feel of the sets, locations, and props, working closely with the director and our small, dedicated crew. You'll be overseeing set dressing, managing the art department (including myself on props), and ensuring everything is visually cohesive and helps tell our story. We're looking for someone with significant experience in art direction or production design on independent productions, especially those with a genre lean. You'll need a strong artistic vision, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work resourcefully. Shoot dates are roughly set for late October for about 10 days, with prep starting well before that. It will be a busy schedule, but we're a supportive crew. While compensation is deferred (points plus deferred payment upon securing series funding), we're providing all necessary materials and a generous art department budget.
