Production for Commercial

An independent production team is seeking a skilled Gaffer to join our crew for an upcoming commercial project in Nashville, TN. This project is a visually driven commercial for a national brand, featuring a clean, modern aesthetic with a focus on natural light augmentation. We're aiming for a bright, optimistic, and high-quality look that effectively communicates the brand's message. Your primary responsibility will be executing the lighting design, managing the lighting and grip equipment, and leading a small lighting team. This includes setting up, operating, and striking all lighting instruments and associated electrical distribution. Collaboration with the Director of Photography will be key to achieving the desired visual tone. We require someone with at least 3-5 years of gaffing experience on commercial sets. You should be familiar with various lighting fixtures, power distribution, and safety protocols. Owning a basic gaffer's package is a plus, but not strictly required, as some gear will be provided. Please provide a link to your reel or relevant work showcasing your lighting expertise. Shoot dates are approximately 2-3 days in early October 2026, with 1-2 days of prep/gear check immediately prior. Hours will be standard 10-12 hour days. Craft services, water, and lunch will be provided on set. Compensation for this role is points plus deferred payment.
