Production for Documentary
Seeking a skilled Camera Operator to join our small, independent documentary team for an upcoming project in Albuquerque. We're capturing the vibrant, often overlooked stories of local artisans and their craft, aiming for an intimate and authentic tone. This film will highlight the dedication and tradition behind their work. Your primary responsibility will be operating our primary camera package, ensuring stable, well-composed shots, and collaborating closely with the DP to execute their vision. We need someone who can work efficiently and adapt to various shooting environments, from bustling workshops to quiet studios. Please have your own basic camera kit (e.g., mirrorless or DSLR with relevant lenses, tripod, basic audio sync capabilities) and a reel showcasing your documentary or vérité style work. This is a run-and-gun production, so versatility is key. Shoot dates are approximately during the first half of October 2026, totaling about 10-12 days of shooting plus a few prep days. Expect 8-10 hour days. We'll provide specialized lighting, additional grip equipment, and all production insurance. Compensation is TBD, based on experience.
