Screenwriting for Pilot
Hey all, I'm Sara, a post-production supervisor on an independent production looking for a talented mid-level screenwriter to join our team for an upcoming episodic comedy pilot. This project is a quirky, character-driven comedy set in the Minneapolis craft beer scene, think 'Parks and Rec' meets 'Drunk History,' with a strong ensemble cast potential. We need someone who can craft sharp, witty dialogue and develop compelling character arcs within a 30-minute episode structure. You’ll be responsible for brainstorming story ideas with our small creative team, outlining beats, and delivering a polished first draft, with potential for revisions. We’re looking for someone with a strong portfolio showcasing comedic writing, ideally for TV or episodic content. While we’re based in Minneapolis, this is a remote-friendly position, but local candidates are a plus for occasional in-person meetings if preferred. We anticipate this being about 5-7 days of work spread over a few weeks, with flexible hours. Compensation is $100-200 per day, depending on experience. Please share your resume, a brief cover letter, and a writing sample (a spec script or original pilot excerpt is ideal) with us. Excited to see what you’ve got!
