Screenwriting for Short Film

Hey Atlanta screenwriters, I'm helping an independent production find a talented writer for an upcoming sci-fi short film. We're looking for something with a thoughtful, introspective tone, not action-heavy. Think "Arrival" meets "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" but on a smaller scale. We have a compelling core concept and need someone to help craft the full narrative, character arcs, and dialogue. Your main responsibilities will include developing the full screenplay from our outline, incorporating feedback, and potentially assisting with rewrites during pre-production. We're seeking someone with entry-level experience, perhaps a few short scripts under your belt or strong writing samples from relevant coursework. A strong understanding of narrative structure and character development is key. Please send over your portfolio or writing samples. This is a remote position for the writing phase. Compensation is $250 per day (flat rate) for approximately 5-7 days of work, spread out over a few weeks. Specific timelines will be discussed.
