Senior Director, Impactful London Doc (Volunteer)

Our independent production is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Director for an upcoming documentary based in London. This project explores the compelling stories behind grassroots community initiatives making a real difference in the city, with a hopeful and authentic tone. We need someone who can lead a small, dedicated team to capture these narratives with sensitivity and vision. Key responsibilities include overseeing all creative aspects, working closely with the producer, guiding the crew, and ensuring the film's artistic integrity. You'll be responsible for translating our vision into powerful cinematic storytelling. We're looking for a director with a strong documentary background and a proven track record. Please provide a directing reel demonstrating your ability to handle sensitive subject matter and compelling character-driven stories. While this is a volunteer role, it's a fantastic opportunity to lead an impactful project and bring important stories to light. Shoot dates are flexible but we anticipate a concentrated block in late August or early September 2026. Equipment will be sourced by the production for the shoot period. Travel expenses within London will be covered.
