Senior Editor, Indie Feature Film (Remote OK)

Seeking an experienced Senior Editor for an original independent feature film. This psychological drama explores themes of isolation and memory with a deliberate, atmospheric tone. We shot this on a modest budget but with a strong creative vision, and now need a talented editor to help shape the narrative in post. You'll be responsible for assembling raw footage, creating initial cuts, refining pacing and rhythm, and working closely with the director to achieve the film's final vision. This role includes managing media, organizing footage, and ensuring continuity throughout the edit. We're looking for someone who can bring a strong sense of story and artistic interpretation to the material. Required experience: You should have several feature film editing credits and a strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to handle complex narratives. Experience with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve) is essential. We estimate 6-8 weeks of work, starting late August, with flexible hours. While preference is given to those in the Brooklyn, NY area for potential in-person meetings, we are open to fully remote candidates who can maintain consistent communication.
