Sound Design for Music Video

Looking for an experienced Sound Designer for an upcoming independent music video project in Austin. We're shooting late August or early September 2026 into late August or early September 2026 (specific dates TBD, roughly 3-4 days on set), with a budget of $150-300/day for post-production work, negotiable based on experience and scope. This project is for an indie rock band, aiming for a gritty, atmospheric, and slightly surreal tone. Think dark humor meets psychedelic visuals, with a focus on immersive sonic textures. Your core responsibilities will involve creating and implementing all sound effects, Foley, and ambient design, enhancing the narrative and emotional impact of the visuals. We'll need a pro who can work independently, has a strong ear for detail, and can deliver high-quality work on a tight turnaround. Please have your own pro-level software and sound effect libraries. A strong reel showcasing your work on music videos or similarly stylized projects is a must. While this is primarily a post-production role, some on-set presence for spotting or collaboration with the picture editor might be beneficial. We're a small, collaborative team, and we're excited to bring on someone who can elevate the sonic landscape of this unique piece.
