Sound Designer, Indie Feature (Berlin)
Our upcoming independent feature film, a suspenseful psychological thriller exploring themes of memory and perception, needs a talented Sound Designer. This project offers a unique opportunity to craft an immersive sonic landscape that is integral to the storytelling and tension building. We're looking for someone creative who can translate complex emotional beats into compelling auditory experiences. Key responsibilities include creating and implementing all sound effects, foley, and atmosphere, collaborating with the director and composer, and delivering final mixes that enhance the film's psychological depth. You'll work closely with the post-production team to ensure a cohesive audio vision. Candidates should have a strong understanding of sound design principles, experience with industry-standard DAWs (e.g., Pro Tools, Nuendo), and access to their own sound libraries and mixing setup. While this is an entry-level position, a strong portfolio or reel demonstrating your creative sound design skills on previous projects (even shorts or student films) is essential. Post-production for sound is expected to run for approximately 6-8 weeks, starting in late September 2026, based in Berlin. Compensation is paid, at $2000-3000/week, for a full-time commitment. We'll provide all necessary picture locks, music stems, and a dedicated workspace if needed, though remote work for certain tasks is possible. We're excited to find someone passionate about elevating our film through innovative sound.
