Sound Design for Pilot

Shooting in Chicago, IL in the second half of September 2026, our independent sci-fi pilot is seeking a talented Sound Designer. This project blends gritty realism with subtle, atmospheric sci-fi elements, telling a character-driven story about hope and resilience in a near-future urban landscape. We're looking for someone who can craft an immersive auditory experience, balancing practical sounds with innovative soundscapes that enhance the world without overpowering the narrative. Key responsibilities include creating and implementing all sound effects, foley, and ambient audio; collaborating with the director and editor to achieve the desired sonic tone; and ensuring a high-quality final mix. You'll work closely with post-production, which will involve about 3 weeks of work following the shoot. We're looking for a mid-level sound designer who has their own sound design software (DAW) and a personal sound library. Experience with sci-fi or atmospheric genres is a plus.
