Sound Design for Music Video

Seeking a talented Sound Designer to join our independent production, starting immediately. This music video is for an emerging Toronto artist, a high-energy pop track with an avant-garde, slightly gritty visual style. We're aiming for a dynamic and immersive soundscape that elevates the visuals and adds an extra layer of impact, moving beyond just mixing the music itself. Think creative foley, atmospheric textures, and clever sound effects to enhance the narrative moments. Your key responsibilities will involve collaborating with the director and editor to design and implement all non-musical audio elements. This includes foley recording or sourcing, sound effect creation, atmospheric design, and final sound mix for the video. We're looking for someone mid-level with a strong portfolio showcasing their creativity in sound design for visual media. While remote work is perfectly fine, we'd love to connect with someone based in Toronto, ON if possible for potential in-person meetings. You'll need your own workstation and professional-grade audio software (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Reaper, etc.) and access to a comprehensive sound library. Experience with music video projects is a plus. Please provide a reel or portfolio demonstrating your sound design work. Post-production will be about 3 weeks of work, primarily in the second half of October 2026. This is a volunteer position, offering credit and meals if you're on set or in-person for meetings.
