Sound Designer, Pilot (New Orleans)

Pilot Sound Design New Orleans, LA entry Budget: $300-500/day

Seeking an entry-level Sound Designer to join our independent pilot production in New Orleans. We need someone who can hit the ground running with sound editing and mixing for a gritty, character-driven drama pilot that blends neo-noir elements with a touch of Southern Gothic. We're aiming for a distinctive sonic landscape that supports the complex emotional arcs and builds tension. This is a chance to put your creative stamp on a compelling story. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, editing, and mixing all audio elements, including dialogue, foley, sound effects, and ambient sounds, to create a polished and immersive final track. We'll also need you to sync and clean up location audio. You should be proficient with industry-standard DAWs (Pro Tools, Logic, etc.) and have access to your own basic audio post-production equipment, including quality headphones and a reliable workstation. A strong ear for detail and storytelling through sound is essential. Please include a link to your reel showcasing your best work. This project will involve approximately 3 weeks of post-production work, primarily in October 2026, with flexible hours. We are offering a daily rate of $300-500, paid weekly. We will provide all raw production audio files and a locked picture edit. While this is an entry-level position, a passion for sound and a willingness to collaborate are key.
