Sound Designer, Web Series (Nashville)

Hey Nashville, I'm a Music Supervisor working on a really cool independent web series and we're looking for a talented Sound Designer to join our team. It's a dark comedy, kind of a modern take on a classic crime caper, with some really unique visual styling. We need someone who can create a distinct sonic world that enhances the humor and tension without being over the top. Your main responsibilities will include creating and implementing all sound effects, foley, and ambient soundscapes for the series, working closely with our picture editor and director. We're looking for someone with a strong ear for detail and a knack for storytelling through sound. You should have your own professional-grade sound design software and be proficient in mixing and mastering for web delivery. Having a diverse sound library is a big plus. Please provide a reel or portfolio showcasing your best work in sound design, especially on projects with a strong narrative. This is a mid-level position. We're aiming for principal photography in late summer early fall, so post-production sound will be in late 2024. Hours will be flexible but deadlines will be firm. Compensation is TBD based on experience and discussed during the interview process. We're a small production company, so a positive attitude and collaborative spirit are super important!
