VFX Artist, Sci-Fi Pilot

Our independent production is seeking a talented entry-level VFX Artist for an exciting sci-fi pilot shooting in Los Angeles. This project is a gritty, character-driven story with some surreal visual elements, so we need someone who can bring a unique eye to our post-production. You'll be primarily responsible for compositing, basic particle effects, and some rotoscoping to help realize the pilot's distinctive look. You should be proficient in After Effects, with some experience in Nuke or Blender being a big plus. Please have a reel demonstrating your skills, even if it's mostly personal projects or student work. We're looking at about 3 weeks of work, potentially starting around September 9, 2026. This is a deferred pay position, but we're offering production credits and a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of an ambitious project. We’ll provide all necessary footage and assets, and access to an editing suite. Hours will be flexible but focused on hitting key deadlines. Looking forward to seeing your work.
