VFX for Short Film

A forgotten astronaut fights to return home after drifting for years through a cosmic void, in a poignant sci-fi short film exploring themes of isolation and perseverance. We're seeking a talented VFX Artist to join our independent production, bringing their creative vision to key sequences. You'll be responsible for crafting compelling space environments, subtle holographic interfaces, and a few impactful digital matte paintings. This is a great opportunity for someone to contribute significantly to a visually driven story. We're open to all experience levels, from emerging artists to seasoned pros, as long as you have a strong reel showcasing relevant work. Ideal candidates will be proficient in Nuke, After Effects, or Blender and possess an eye for realistic integration. While based in NYC, remote collaboration is absolutely fine. We anticipate a workload of approximately 2-3 weeks, commencing around September 8, 2026, with flexible daily hours. Compensation is competitive at $1000-1500 per day, based on experience and scope.
