Web Series Screenwriter, Sci-Fi Comedy

Hey there! I'm Elena, a producer working on a fun, independent web series and I'm looking for a talented screenwriter to join our team. We're developing a sci-fi comedy, something along the lines of 'Rick and Morty' meets 'The Office,' focusing on the hilarious mishaps of a space sanitation crew. Think witty dialogue, quirky characters, and unexpected plot twists, all with a surprising amount of heart. We're looking for someone who can really bring these ideas to life on the page. Your main responsibilities will include outlining episode arcs, drafting screenplays for multiple episodes, incorporating feedback, and collaborating closely with our director and me to refine the story. Experience isn't as critical as a strong voice and a killer portfolio (writing samples are a must, ideally in comedy or sci-fi). If you've got a spec script or produced short that showcases your comedic timing and creative world-building, we definitely want to see it! This is for an upcoming project based in NYC, though some remote work is possible for the writing phase. We anticipate needing you for approximately 4-6 weeks of writing, with potential for extension as the series develops. We're offering a rate of $300-500/day, depending on experience.
