AI, C2PA, and Human Authorship: How are you adapting your workflow?
Hey everyone,
I'm Tyler Morrison, a camera operator primarily on commercials and narrative shorts. With all the buzz around generative AI and the push for content authenticity through standards like C2PA, I've been wrestling with a practical question: How are you guys actually documenting and proving the human authorship behind your visual choices?
I just wrapped a brand spot shot on an AMIRA with Supreme Primes, and then moved onto an indie short with an FX6 and some vintage glass. On both projects, I've tried to be more diligent about logging specific creative decisions in my notes, why I chose a particular lens, why I pushed the exposure, or why a certain lighting setup with a SkyPanel S60-C and an LS 300x was crucial. I'm doing it manually, hoping to establish a clear trail, but it feels clunky.
Are any of you using specific tools or workflows to embed or tag this kind of 'human creative intent' metadata, especially with an eye toward future C2PA requirements? Or is it still mostly just detailed shot reports and conversations? Really keen to hear how others are approaching this.
