Low-Budget Prelight: Hacks for Tight Resources?

Hey everyone, Liam here. I'm pulling focus on a short film right now and our lighting budget is practically non-existent. We're trying to make every dollar count, which means no dedicated pre-light day or extensive gear rentals like we'd usually see on a bigger shoot with an ARRI ALEXA Mini or a VENICE 2. We're shooting on a Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2, mainly using practicals and a couple of affordable LEDs like a PavoTube II 30X and an amaran 150c.

I'm curious if any of you have implemented a 'lighting prelight strategy' on similarly tight resources and what your best hacks are for getting similar benefits without the full setup. I've tried some basic photo references and diagramming, but it doesn't always translate. How do you prioritize what actually gets 'pre-lit' when time and gear are so limited? Looking for some real-world advice.
