Applying 'Prep-Ahead' Beyond Camera Prep for Morning Efficiency?

I'm Tyler Morrison, a camera operator, and I've been really focusing on streamlining our morning starts. On a recent project, we got into a great rhythm where my 1st AC and the Best Boy grip would proactively get next day’s gear logs started, checking lens serials and basic counts for the ALEXA Mini and our Orbiter kits before wrap. It seriously shaved off half an hour each morning we could then dedicate to blocking or last-minute tweaks.

Now I'm on a new indie feature, shooting with a V-RAPTOR XL, and I'm trying to think bigger. I've been gently encouraging our sound mixer to do a similar check on their MixPre-10 II channels and mic counts (like our MKH 416s) before leaving, but it hasn't quite caught on. I'm wondering if there are other departments where this 'prep-ahead' mindset could realistically be implemented to reduce the usual morning scramble.

Have any of you successfully adapted this kind of forward-thinking prep to other areas beyond camera/grip to make your starts smoother? What worked, and what were the challenges?
