Indie Wardrobe Continuity: Budget Hacks Needed!

Hey everyone, as an Art Director, I'm constantly wrestling with wardrobe continuity on indie projects. We just wrapped a short where we were shooting on an AMIRA, but the budget for art department was practically zero, and a dedicated wardrobe person was a pipe dream. I end up trying to wrangle everything myself or with a PA who's already got ten other jobs.

I've tried cell phone photos and a spreadsheet for tracking looks, but with quick changes, multiples, and especially aging/breakdown effects, it becomes a nightmare to keep up. It's easy to miss a stain or a torn sleeve between takes.

For those of you on similar shoestring budgets, how do you effectively manage wardrobe continuity? What are your best, no-cost or very low-cost hacks for tracking multiples and maintaining breakdown without a dedicated wardrobe supervisor or fancy software?
