DIT Gear on Indie Sets: Has New Tech Changed the 'Must-Haves'?

Hey everyone, Marcus here. I’m a Foley artist, usually busy stomping around making sound effects, but I'm looking at taking on some DIT work for a few indie shorts and documentaries coming up. I've always tried to stay current with data management, but it feels like things are moving so fast now. We're talking FX9s, KOMODO-Xs, and C70s on these sets, often shooting in pretty high resolutions or with complex color profiles.

My question is, with all the advancements (faster storage, cloud-based dailies, and even in-camera proxies) how has this actually changed your essential DIT kit for indie films? Are there things that used to be crucial that you now find less necessary, or new tools that have become absolute must-haves? I'm trying to figure out if my current setup, built around a solid MacBook Pro and a few reliable SSDs, is still hitting all the right notes or if I'm missing some vital, newer piece of the puzzle.
