Director, Feature Drama

Hey Nashville filmmakers, I'm Andre Williams, a music composer, and I'm putting together a team for an upcoming independent feature film. We're looking for a passionate Director to bring our dramatic story to life. The script is a character-driven drama with elements of a psychological thriller, exploring themes of memory, redemption, and the unexpected twists of fate. It’s got a real intimate feel, think indie drama with a strong emotional core. Your main responsibilities will be to lead the creative vision, guide the cast and crew, and ensure the story translates effectively to the screen. You'll be working closely with the producer, DP, and myself, as I'm developing the score alongside the script. We're open to all experience levels, from fresh new talent to seasoned pros, as long as you have a clear vision and a strong storytelling sensibility. While we don't expect you to bring your own gear, it's a plus if you have access to any basic production equipment. A strong reel showcasing your directorial style and storytelling ability is essential. Shoot dates are currently planned for late summer/early fall, over approximately 3-4 weeks, depending on final scheduling. This is an independent production, so while compensation will be based on experience, we're really looking for someone who believes in the project. We'll be providing production insurance, catering, and transportation for cast and crew during principal photography.
