Feature Film Director, Mid-Level

Hey filmmakers, we're looking for a talented mid-level director for an upcoming independent feature film shooting in Albuquerque, NM. This is a dramatic psychological thriller with a dark, cerebral tone, focusing on a character's descent into paranoia. We're aiming to create something visually striking and emotionally resonant, a real character study. You'll be responsible for leading the creative vision, collaborating closely with the DP and cast, guiding performances, and overseeing the artistic direction from pre-production through principal photography. We need someone with a strong visual style, excellent communication skills, and a clear understanding of storytelling. Please have a solid reel showcasing your narrative work, ideally features or high-end shorts. Prior experience directing a feature or multiple short films is a must. Compensation for this role is negotiable and will be discussed during interviews. We anticipate a 4-5 week shoot, tentatively scheduled for late summer.
