Entry-Level Commercial Director (Atlanta)

Seeking an enthusiastic, entry-level Director for an independent commercial project in Atlanta. This is a short-format, high-energy spot for a small business, featuring a fun, quirky tone with a touch of DIY charm. We're aiming for something visually engaging that tells a clear story in a concise way. Your main responsibilities will include collaborating with the producer to refine the concept, leading the creative vision on set, guiding performances, and working closely with the cinematography and art department teams to bring the commercial to life. You'll be instrumental in shaping the final look and feel. We're looking for someone with a strong visual storytelling sensibility and a knack for working efficiently with limited resources. While this is an entry-level position, a reel demonstrating your directing capabilities, even from student films or smaller projects, is essential. We don't require you to own extensive gear, but a familiarity with standard commercial production workflows is a plus. We will provide necessary camera and lighting packages. Shoot dates are approximately two days in late May or early June, with some pre-production meetings beforehand. Hours will be typical production days. Compensation is deferred, based on a backend percentage, as this is an independent production seeking passionate collaborators.
