Entry-Level Music Video Director, LA

Music Video Directing Los Angeles, CA entry Budget: $300-500/day

Hey filmmakers, I'm a stunt coordinator on an independent production and we're looking for an enthusiastic, entry-level director for an upcoming music video. This is for a high-energy punk rock track, so we're aiming for a raw, dynamic, and visually striking aesthetic. Think gritty urban locations, fast cuts, and a strong performance focus. We want someone with fresh ideas who isn't afraid to experiment. Your main responsibilities will include developing the visual concept with the band, blocking scenes, guiding performances, and working closely with the DP and I to capture the action. You'll need to demonstrate a strong creative vision and good communication skills. We're looking for someone who has a solid understanding of directing principles, even if your experience is primarily through student films or smaller projects. Please submit a reel or portfolio showcasing your directorial work, especially anything with a performance or action element. While we have some gear on hand, having access to your own basic directorial equipment (e.g., monitor, walkies if you have them) is a plus, but not strictly required. The shoot is expected to take place over 2-3 days in late June or early July, exact dates TBD, likely 10-12 hour days. Lunch, snacks, and water will be provided on set. This is a paid position, $300-$500 per day depending on experience. Excited to see what you've got!
