Gaffer for Supernatural Horror Web Series
Hey filmmakers, we're looking for a Gaffer for an upcoming independent web series shooting in New Orleans. This is a supernatural horror project with a dark, atmospheric tone, think 'The Babadook' meets 'American Horror Story.' We're aiming for something visually rich and unsettling, so your expertise in shaping light to create tension and mood is key. Responsibilities include designing and implementing the lighting plan in collaboration with the DP, managing the grip and electric package, and ensuring all lighting is safe and efficient. We'll be shooting on location, so adaptability is a must. We need someone with their own basic kit, including a small HMI or LED package, although larger units will be rented as needed. A strong understanding of various lighting techniques, safety protocols, and generator operation is important. Please send a reel or examples of your recent work, especially anything with a similar vibe. Shoot dates are approximately 10 days in late October, 10-12 hour days. Lunch and craft services are provided on set. Pay is $250/day flat. Great opportunity to work on a cool, spooky project.
