Gaffer for Indie Music Video

Alright folks, Victor here, Key Grip on an upcoming independent music video shoot. We're looking for a talented Gaffer to join us on what's shaping up to be a really cool project. This video is for an emerging indie artist, a blend of dream pop and synthwave, so we're aiming for something visually rich, atmospheric, and a little ethereal. Think moody colors and creative practical setups to enhance the vibe. Your main responsibilities will include collaborating with the DP to execute their lighting plan, managing our small lighting package, overseeing set safety regarding electrical, and generally keeping our look consistent and exciting. You'll need to know your way around various fixtures, understand power distribution, and be a problem-solver. We can provide a basic lighting package, but if you have a small kit you can bring, that's a plus. Your experience as a Gaffer or even a strong Best Boy Electric on smaller productions will serve you well here. We're looking for someone with around 3-5 years of professional experience, and please, send us your reel or portfolio. Shoot dates are tentatively scheduled for late July, about 2-3 days of shooting in and around Los Angeles. We're looking at 10-12 hour days. This is a paid gig, $100-200/day, depending on experience. Lunch, snacks, and water will be provided on set. Let's make something awesome together!
